Women's Craft Night

Women's Craft Night

An exciting report from Kathy Burget:

We had about 32, a few teens, a few grandmas and everyone in between.

Kimberly brought her neighbor, Jaalah brought a friend, and we had a couple new Morningside members and attendees. Wanda Courtney did a good job teaching us, and we all had a great time. Several ladies brought their own crafts and enjoyed working on them together. I shared for a very brief time Hebrews 10:24-25 that it’s our responsibility to provoke each other to good works, to encourage each other. It’s not about just attending church, it’s about developing relationships with each other and about the importance of fellowship.

Academy of Arts performs Marked for Greatness

Academy of Arts performs Marked for Greatness

Morningside hosts Academy of Arts performing the story of Adoniram Judson Marked For Greatness.jpg

The Academy of Arts traveling drama team will be presenting “Marked for Greatness” on Wednesday, 7/31/19 @ 7 PM @ Morningside. This is a FREE event open to the public.

Marked for Greatness is the story of Adoniram Judson, the first American foreign missionary to Burma. This drama will powerfully portray the beginning of Adoniram's life as he excels in his education, runs from God and tries to reject Him, finally commits to Christ, falls in love and is married, and surrenders to give up everything to serve the Lord in Burma. This 45-50 minute presentation will move audiences to see God’s hand at work and inspire them to answer the call of God in their own lives! It will also include 1 song to highlight the Gospel message of the presentation!

The Academy of Arts has been traveling the nation since 1971 “Making the Bible Come Alive”. Their headquarters, the Logos Theatre, is located in Taylors, South Carolina where they perform professional, family-friendly stage drama’s year-round!

VBS Registration is LIVE! Register your child/children at Morningside.org/vbs

It's a Vacation Bible School like no other!

Kids will race from continent to continent uncovering clues and attempting challenges as they fill their score cards.

They'll also discover that, no matter where we live, what shade of skin we have, or what language we speak, we are all part of the same race—the human race—and all part of the same family from Adam and Eve.

As they examine the events surrounding the tower of Babel, kids will learn that God is calling people from every tribe and nation through his Son, Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. And that he wants us to share this good news in kindness and love with our neighbors nearby and far away.

Join The Incredible Race Sunday through Thursday, June 9-13 from 6:00-8:15pm and experience God's love for every tribe, language, and nation!
