This morning, our Mandarin Chinese and English assemblies hold a combined Communion service (10 AM, AUD). If you are a believer living in obedience to Christ, you are welcome to join us for Communion.
Deacon chairman Rod McCarty and Pastor Crockett will discuss our pastoral transition today. Next week our guest speaker is ODBM director Dr. Dave Smith. The Crockett plans to remain active serving members here. Our pastors and deacons look forward to seeing God’s continued blessings on Morningside as we each fulfill our mission of Loving God. It’s a jungle out there, but The Great Jungle Journey VBS (June 2-5, Grades 1-8, 6-8 PM) will give kids a chance to make sense of it. The Great Jungle Journey is an epic cruise from Genesis to Revelation covering the 7 C’s of History. Register or invite others at morningside.org/vbs.
Memorial Day Cookout: Loving Each Other
Next Sunday at noon, we’ll provide a churchwide cookout ($5/each, $10/family suggested donation).
The line opens at 11:30 AM for senior adults, and we’ll have hot dogs for kids under 12.
We’ll encourage our life groups to sit together, and there’ll be plenty of indoor seating.
If the weather permits, bring a lawn chair and maybe a change of clothes and plan to enjoy Pelham Road Elementary School’s green space and playground.
We’ll bring the food, but we’d love to have a few dozen volunteers helping with setup, kitchen, and especially cleanup. Learn more and sign up at morningside.org/news.
Bridge to Reno: Loving Our World
Last week was our interest meeting for Bridge to Reno, and we’re thrilled to have nearly 20 applications. Let us know if you would like our help taking a mission trip to work with our church planters.
Night of Worship & Appreciation Reception
Join us tonight for Night of Worship: Cries of the Soul (5 PM, AUD). Afterwards we hold a reception for Pastor Crockett and his family (107). Designate “Crockett Love Offering” at the offering boxes or morningside.org/give to participate in our love offering.

Foster Care Diaper Drive
May is Foster Care Awareness Month. Bring diapers size 3-5 to the Welcome Center this month to support foster care at our gospel partner Miracle Hill Ministries. Learn more at morningside.org/outreach.
