Most of us aspire to greatness.

We don’t want a terrible life or even a mediocre life. We want to have a great life— with great friendships, and a great family, a great career, to leave a great legacy.

We want our tombstone to read “Here lies the body of a great man or woman.”

And the desire to be great isn’t bad. In fact, it’s God-given.

That’s what we find in the book of Genesis. We were created in God’s image. We were intended for greatness.

In Isaiah 43:7 God says,  for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

We were created for His glory. We were created for greatness.

The problem is the path to greatness is much different than we expect.
